Our team, Shruthi and Fidha Rabeeth Final year Students YAATHVIKANZ, participated in the “ *Inquiro” ENT Case Presentation* , an intercollegiate academic event *ODYSSEUM’26* conducted by Madurai Medical College in February 2026 and honored to receive the *First Prize* .
We presented a rare and challenging case titled “Survival After Complete Tracheal Transection: A Rare ENT Airway Emergency.”
The case involved a 22-year-old female with a severe cut-throat injury leading to complete tracheal transection, a life-threatening airway emergency. Prompt surgical intervention and airway management were crucial in saving the patient’s life. The case highlighted the important role of ENT surgeons along with team of Anaesthesia, General Surgeon in managing complex airway trauma.
Preparing and presenting this case was a valuable learning experience to our under graduates and post graduates that strengthened our understanding of airway emergencies and surgical management.
